Who We Are

David Schaffer The principal of There Must Be A Better Way is David N. Schaffer. He helps organizations and professionals use technology more effectively to perform their work. Bringing a deep and wide technical underpinning and broad ranging business experience allows him to focus on what the client is trying to accomplish and what's standing in the way to help them bridge that gap.

David has had responsibility for information technology, communications and social media, supporting professionals who interact with clients and prospects throughout the world. He has also managed and maintained an infrastructure to support that work – file, mail and application servers, document management, phone systems, mobile synchronization, productivity software, security and backup. He has implemented solutions on premises, at colocation, on hosted servers and via Software as a Service.

He is also experienced with web site management, email marketing and marketing automation.

David holds an M.S. in Management Engineering.

Before his computer career he was Managing Editor of Turbomachinery International magazine and Conference Director for the ASME Plant Engineering and Maintenance Conference series.

He is a member of the Pahquioque Ski Patrol at Thunder Ridge in Patterson, NY.
